Temple Emanu-El, a Reform congregation in Marblehead, MA, is hiring a family engagement and PreK-3rd Grade Coordinator to oversee and develop programs for children from birth to age eight.

This includes, but is not limited to, on-site support at the Sunday Religious School program, monthly Shabbat programs on Friday nights and Saturdays, and general programming for ongoing education and community building.

The coordinator will be a conduit between Temple members who have children in this population—developing programs that fit their interests and needs, promoting enrollment in the Temple’s religious school program, and maintaining relationships with families as they move through the religious school program at Temple Emanu-El.

In addition, the coordinator, in consultation with the Temple Educator, will facilitate the curriculum of the PreK-3rd grade students in the Sunday, religious school program.

Candidates should have experience working with families in an engagement capacity, awareness of the developmental stages of children from birth until third grade, desire to work with both parents and children, and understanding of Jewish life in a synagogue context.
